Dr. Bachman considers all the theories on the development and technique of bowing stringed instruments, and with the aid of a great deal of newly assembled material (including fresh evidence from Russian archaeological researches) goes far to establish the area in which the development took place, the historical period, and the nature of the instruments and techniques involved; and he traces the spread of bowing throughout the European and Asian world. Only some very light spotting to top edge of textblock esle fine. Clean and tight with crisp text. No name or other markings. Fine dustjacket in a new mylar cover. Scarce.
