First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. Signed. 254 pages. Published in 2021. The author's family memoir. Jack Whitehall's finest achievement. The First Hardcover Edition. Precedes and should not be confused with all other subsequent editions. Published in a small and limited first print run as a hardcover original only that went into subsequent printing. There is NO American Edition. The First Edition is now scarce. Presents Jack Whitehall's "How To Survive Family Holidays". With the salient contributions of Father Michael and Sister Hilary. "One part Lonely Planet, one part tell-all family memoir, this is the definitive and hilarious guide on how to survive your family holiday. No one family has more experience of travelling together than the Whitehalls. Indeed they've been allowing us a window to their escapades for the past five years in the hit Netflix show, 'Travels With My Father', and in this hilarious book, they have now decided to pool their advice for fellow travellers. Whatever your version of holiday preparation, the truth is always this: If it is with one's own family, no amount of sunshine, wine, or holiday spirit will stop your worst character traits from coming to the surface. You have just volunteered to spend a week in close proximity with the people who know you best and who will never ever let you forget a fuck-up" (Publisher's blurb). "Screamingly funny. A splendidly effervescent and enjoyable book" (The Daily Mail). An absolute "must-have" title for Jack Whitehall collectors. This Publisher's Autographed Copy is very boldly and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on the title page by Jack Whitehall. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a bookplate, which most copies available online are. It is also very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen by Michael and Hilary Whitehall. This title is a contemporary classic. As far as we know, this is the only such title-page signed copy of the First Hardcover Ediiton/First Printing available online and is in fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Bookplate-signed copies available online are of the Second Printing. This is surely the more desirable alternative. A rare signed copy thus. Lavishly illustrated with vintage black-and-white and color photographs from the family's album. One of the most brilliant entertainer/writers of our time. A fine copy. ISBN 0751583898. Signed by Author.
