Moderate toning and some light stains to spine, with some nicking to head of spine. Transparent tape to head of spine. Diagonal crease to bottom corner of rear cover. Some foxing to edges of text block. Previous owner's name and address stamp at head of first page. Common names of birds written in pencil after latin names at rear of book. Interior otherwise clean and unmarked. Binding sound. This book was previously owned by Alfred 'Al' Schmitz, who was a Sierra Club member and former president of the mountaineering group, The Mazamas, in 1956. His son, Kim Schmitz, was a world famous mountain climber, and good friend of fellow climber and photographer, Galen Rowell. . Soft Cover. Very Good.
