A very good copy with stories and serial installments by prominent authors, most notably Dashiell Hammett and P G Wodehouse, and a nice selection of Depression Era articles. A heavy, oversize book that will require additional postage. McCullough from his mother, as well as his ownership signature (likely the Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, who would have been 15 at the time), and the later bookplate of actress Ruth Gordon and her husband the director Garson Kanin. Gordon is caricatured in the book.…
