Original printed boards skilfully restored, untrimmed, armorial bookplate. A fine copy of this immensely popular French cookbook by the Parisian economist, geographer and man of letters L. E. Audot (1783-1870). An English translation of this work, which went through 65 editions up to 1887, was published under the title "French Domestic Cookery combining Elegance with Economy" in London in 1846.
