Copyright page dated 1943 with 'International Copyright Secured' and 'All Rights Reserved.' The foreword is written by A.E. (Art) Satherley, recording manager for Okeh and Columbia Records, providing contemporary biographical context for Bob Atcher (1914-2002), Kentucky-born singer, guitarist, and Grand Ole Opry performer. Songs include 'I Want to Be Wanted,' 'Sorrow on My Mind,' 'Pins and Needles (In My Heart),' 'I'll Never See Sunshine Again,' and others by Fred Rose, Floyd Jenkins, Ray Whitley, Roy Acuff, and additional early Nashville writers. Illustrated with multiple black-and-white photographic plates, including Bob Atcher, Bonnie Blue Eyes (Loeta Applegate), and The Frontiersmen. A well-preserved copy in Very Good+ condition. Bob Atcher was a Kentucky-born country singer, guitarist, and radio personality who became associated with WSM's Grand Ole Opry and early Nashville recording culture.
