A monumental work of 643 pages that was more than fourteen years in preparation, because original research had to be undertaken to acquire the day-to-day personal accounts of those of took part in the 1876 summer campaign in pursuit of the Sioux and Cheyenne. More than fifteen hundred pages of material was gathered and collated, and from this rich file the book was developed. This Collector's edition of March of the Columns has been specially bound in an edition of 50 signed copies of which this is number 14; signed by the author, not personalized to anyone. The dark red leather covers have sharp gilt lettering on the front cover and the spine. The book itself is protected in clear archival quality cover material. Originally acquired from the publisher this work has been in the bookseller's personal home library for over two decades. Available for immediate shipment; carefully packed in a sturdy box.
