Published in London in 1928 by The Institution of Civil Engineers, this is a very scarce small slim hardback paper on the Reconstruction of the English Bridge over The River Severn in the Shropshire County town of Shrewsbury. The book was originally the property of Basil E. Lewis who served as the Assistant Resident Engineer for the reconstruction of the bridge, with his ownership signature to the front endpaper The book is 8.5 inches tall approx., runs to 14 pages plus a large folding plan of the bridge. A later owner has tipped in an old newspaper clipping of an article about the reconstruction. CONDITION The covers have light marking, mild edge rubbing wear, internally there is a brown stain to the edge of the printed area of the folding plate and final page (both pictured) and few other small marks else in good general condition. A VERY SCARCE PUBLICATION OWNED AND SIGNED BY ONE OF THE ENGINEERS WHO WORKED ON THE PROJECT.…
