Beige wrappers with color pictorial cover inset and overlapping edges. Fraying to the soft overlapping edges, hairline spitting to paper wrap over spine. Internally very good, text clean, plates well preserved.

A fragile booklet on the United States Army, containing 40 pages of text in German, plus 19 pages of multiple color illustrations showing U. S. Army uniforms. The uniforms appear to be Civil War, post Civil War, and U. S. Cavalry uniforms. While most of the uniforms appear to be relatively correct, some of the dress uniforms and much of the headgear shown has a distinct European flavor, rather than U. S. The booklet is fragile; the rear cover is detached, and the front cover held on with a hinge repair. The backstrip is gone, and the binding is loose. The front cover colors are fairly right, but there is edgewear to the covers. The title page is age-toned. Else the pages are clean; the color illustrations bright. Original-Ganzleinenband mit aufmontierter Einbandillustration (US-Flagge, Adler und Titel). Kleiner Handschriftlicher Besitzervermerk auf vorderem Innenspiegel. Titelblatt gebräungt. Sonst sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar.
