Red cloth cover. xv+235; internally clean, tight & unmarked, top edge red, covers clean, bright and unworn, but spine just a shade faded, a few very small patches of pigment loss along joints, very slightly cocked. An interesting report on the very heated controversy with the Roman Ca…tholic church regarding birth control, which it officially abhorred, sometimes with the most hysterical rhetoric. Marie Stopes remains quite unfazed by this of course.

Undated, although with contemporary inscription dated 1907. Stories contributed by, amongst others, Constance Arbuthnot and A 2 page illustrated story by E Nesbit. Original glazed pictorial covers… which are a little soiled and worn a little at corners and fragile. The pasted in frontispiece has small marginal tears.
