Padua, Typ.Seminarius, 1713. Small 8vo.[16] + 183 + [1 blank] + [26] + [1]p. Decorative woocut capitals. Contemporary vellum. Only edition of a rare catalogue of plants in the private Padua garden of the Venetian senator Gianfrancisco Morosini. The long list includes native and exotic plants; appended is the short description of a journey the author made in the southern Alps with a record of plants observed. Antonio Tita (d.1719) is known to have been working at the Padua botanic garden in about 1683 before compiling the present catalogue for Morosini. The work was immediately acknowledged by botanists and is quoted by Boerhaave, Clarici and M.Tilli among others. Early stamp of the Medical Society of London on title; small old inkstain on two leaves, otherwise a good copy. Jackson p436. Pritzel 9369. Stafleu & Cowan 14.605.
