Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hardcover. Brown cloth over boards with black and gold decorative stamping on front cover and spine. No printed publication date that I can find, but my guess would be c. 1880s. 424 pages. In fair condition. Back cover has some uneven fading and discoloration. Front cover and spine remain quite clean and unfaded, with beautiful decorative stamping. Some fraying to cloth at head and foot of spine as well as corners from bumping. Front gutter is cracked through between copyright page and preface; title page and first flyleaf are coming loose from binding. Rear gutter is also cracked through and rear endpaper detached but present. Binding as a result feels fragile, but no other pages are loose and covers remain attached. Some tidelines along fore edge and first few pages -- no other evidence of water damage throughout. Pages are free of foreign markings or tears. Overall, a fair reading copy.
