It "deals with six days of Creation; pillars of Seth; aqua sicca = mercury; transmutation of plants; rejects the divining rod (de Virgula divina theses, mentioning Agricola); rejects astrology; accepts the barnacle goose" (Partington). Die Zwischentitel behandeln neben der Entstehung der geschaffenen Dinge die Erschaffung der Engel, das geschaffene Firmament und die Teilung des Wassers, die Trennung des Meeres oder der unteren Wasser von der Erde, die Anfänge der Pflanzen und der mit ihnen zusammenhängenden Mineralien sowie ihre natürliche Beschaffenheit, die Erschaffung der Lichter und der Sterne, die Erschaffung der Fische und Vögel, das Atemholen der Fische und Insekten, die Erschaffung der Lebewesen aus Erde und die zu bewundernde Erschaffung des Menschen. In einem umfangreichen Anhang setzt sich Libavius mit den satanischen Lehren auseinander, durch welche die Welt unrein geworden ist. Der Band enthält auch seine Polemik gegen die Astrologie. - Der Philosoph und Arzt Libavius (1555-1616), ein Universalgelehrter seiner Zeit, wurde besonders als Mitbegründer der modernen Chemie berühmt. - Papierbedingt leicht gebräunt, Vorsätze etwas stärker, und stellenweise etwas braunfleckig.
