Illustrated by Mike Stidham. The book's a hatchmatcher's nirvana, or nightmare, depending on your point-of-view. In any case, it's clearly appropriate, as The Band sang in "Up On Cripple Creek" years ago, with the lyrics it's "a drunkard's dream if I ever did see one." There are fly patterns for every conceivable circumstance the fly fisher could possibly encounter, and more. The book is bound in black cloth with gilt titles on the spine and front cover.
