Spiralbound. Revised Edition. iv, 83 p. Includes bibliography. Footnotes. References. This work first appeared in February 1975 and this revised edition was published in August, 1975. The authors were associated with the Department of Physics, University of Washington, Seattle, WA. The objective of this book is to show that nuclear fission power is the best, and may be the only, alternative source of energy. It is written for a wide range of readers, including non-scientists and scientists who are not particularly well informed on the issues involved. This perspective was not widely adopted at the time, but is foundational to the current renewed interest in nuclear power as a more environmental friendly alternative to fossil fuels and the current carbon energy cycle. Good. No dust jacket. Cover has some wear and soiling.
