Illustrated w/ black & white photographs. Gold-toned frontispiece of Keller Coat of Arms, the Swiss version, furnished for this work by Mr. George B. Utley of the Newberry Library, Chicago. Main editor Edward Seitz Shumaker (1867-1829) was head of the Indiana branch of the Anti Saloon League from the early 1900s until his death in 1929. He was a Methodist minister who became a political activist who helped make the nation dry. Inscribeee Mr. (& Mrs.) Theodor Dierks likely refers to San Francisco undertaker Theodor Dierks, who had funeral parlors at 900 Divisadero & 957 Mission Street.
