Alpini, auch Prosper Alpinus oder Prosper Alpini/Alpino, Prospero (*1553 Marostica (Republik Venedig) - 1617 Padua), italienischer Arzt und Botaniker. 1574 medizinisches Studium an der Universität Padua, 1580 Reise nach Ägypten, wo er Leibarzt des venedischen Botschafters in Kairo, George Emo oder Hemi (auch Giorgio Emo), wurde. 1593 erhielt er eine Professur für Botanik an der Universität in Padua.
