Hardcover. Condition: Good+. 1st Edition. Please see photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards show spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Spine is lightly faded and there is a darkened spot near the center, presumably from a label. The internal binding is good, no hinge cracks but there is some pulling and spots. The front pastedown contains the initials G.G. penned in the corner and the opposite end page contains a smaller label stating this was a gift of Adelaide Wood Guthrie of Harrisburg PA, along with remnants of a price that was penciled in the corner and then later erased. Adelaide Wood Guthrie was an American author, editor, welfare-worker and U. S. Foreign Service clerk. Pages are lightly toned but are clean. The end pages and pastedowns do show smudge marks and foxing spots.
