Super octavo, orange cloth boards, gilt lettering & rule to spine, gilt avian motif to front board, top page edges stained purple, illus title page, 662pp, illus, VG (light scuffing to extrems, light tanning & foxing to page edges & eps, prev. bookseller's sm ink stamp to ffep, lengthy neat inscription (German) in ink to rear pastedown, light foxing sporadically throughout) in d/w, VG- (heavy creasing & chipping & loss to edges with tidy archival tape repairs, moderate tanning & staining to spine, light tanning & foxing to covers & flaps).
