The Wilson novel was previously published in hard covers by Simon & Schuster in 1941 under the title The Town is Full of Rumors. The spine has reading creasing and some edge rubbing. Otherwise only light edge and surface wear to the covers. Browning to the page edges with faint numbers stamped to the top edges of the Marlowe novel. Browning at the edges of the insides of the covers. The first page of the Wilson novel is detached and the covers are pulling away from the text block a little at the beginning of both novels so careful handling is required.
