Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Boards, printed paper label. Covers somewhat worn, lower cover unfortunately marked, backstrip defective, free endpapers rather embrowned. Inscribed by the author on the title-page, "To Mrs Scrogie from the Author as a memorial of her very great kindness to him during a serious illness. As I had no claim whatever on her, I appreciate all she has done very much, especially in the providing such suitable dinners, for in the cookery department she certainly knows what an invalid requires 34 Union Terrace, 5/4/1902", and, at the foot of the portrait frontispiece opposite, "Yours very truly A. Boddie". Inscribed by Author(s).
