Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Essay from the year 2014 in the subject Psychology - Miscellaneous, grade: A, , course: Jungian Psychology, language: English, abstract: This essay gives a short overview of some of Jung's main ideas. Like every true creative person, inspired and p…ursued by his internal daemon, Jung expressed the conclusions he reached intuitively as facts, without burdening himself with proving them in the purely scientific manner. This does not mean that he did not test them in his own life or with his patients; it just means that whether they fit into what was considered scientific was not his main concern. Such a stance, as well as his interest in what is still considered a non-scientific field of alchemy or religion, are some of the reasons he was considered by a part of the 20th century scientific community as a non-scientist, the reason why his books in the present day can be found in bookshops under Occultism, and the reason he cannot be read by the Eastern Orthodox Christians residing in monasteries.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Essay from the year 2013 in the subject Psychology - Miscellaneous, grade: A, , course: American Literature, language: English, abstract: A short comparison of Poe and Jung in terms of their similar ideas, as well as Poe's representations of Anima…and Shadow. The testament of Poe as a man of unique genius who inspires and intrigues not just the readers, but his fellow poets is confirmed by the interest of some literary giants in him, Baudelaire, Eliot, Lawrence, to name only a few. In his famous essay From Poe to Valery, Eliot recognized ¿Poe¿s peculiar originality as a poet. (¿) Poe is both the reductio ad absurdum and the artistic perfection of this [Romantic] movement¿ , says Eliot and continues to point out the intellectual merits of Poe, i.e., his originality, not just as a critic but as a poet as well by stating that ¿no poetry of feeling is further from sensuality or even sensuousness.¿.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - Master's Thesis from the year 2009 in the subject American Studies - Literature, grade: A, University of Belgrade (Anglistics Department), course: English and American Literature, language: English, abstract: This paper gives a brief overview of Hawthorne¿s most important and famous work 'T…he Scarlet Letter' from the point of view of five contemporary theories of criticism: Psychoanalytic Criticism, Reader-Response Criticism, Feminist Criticism, Deconstruction and The New Historicism. 'The Scarlet Letter' was first published in 1850, but its genesis can be found in tales and sketches Hawthorne wrote some years before he began to work on this novel. Being a Puritan descendent, in one of those sketches from 1845 he speculates about what life would be like for a young woman who would be condemned always to wear the letter A for having committed adultery. For Hawthorne this is a moral tale; the wild rose in the opening chapter points out the novel¿s moral purpose: it is our duty to show to the world our true nature.
