It is an autobiographical coming-of-age tale of four Massachusetts sisters growing into womanhood. This copy was published by the Franklin Library in 1982. It is leather-bound, russet and gold with the pages rimmed in gold on all sides. There is a very small bump to the gold trim. 514 pages--it's heavy. Bound-in silk bookmark. Illustrated by the American artist Ben Stahl. It is obvious that no one has read this book--it is in pristine condition.
