Very-good-plus vinyl (save there's a bump in the track "Ol' Man River," as made), in a very-good cardboard sleeve with some chipping, which jacket is also partially split to both top and bottom. "Here, for the first time on a long playing record," notes jazz authority Leonard Feather, "a group of great instrumentalists from Duke Ellington's orchestra supplies the beautiful setting for a series of vocal interpretations by Al Hibbler. Hibbler has been a major drawing card with Ellington ever since he joined the band eight years ago.
