Original French petite (small) poster for the 1960 film. Set during WWII, Candide (Cassell) is an orphaned Westphalian who falls in love with the baron's daughter, Cunegonde (Lavi), and is thrown out of the house when the baron discovers them kissing. Candide is drafted and captured by the Nazis, but escapes and joins the International Red Cross. His improbable adventures take himto the revolutions of South America, the tribes of Borneo, Moscow, and to racially charged New York. 16 x 27 inches, folded once as issued. Good, with edge tears, creases, and chips, light foxing. Scarce.
