One of 800 special copies signed by the author Alan Le May for Òfriends of the author and the publisher in the book tradeÓ This is retained file copy belonged to Le MayÕs Hollywood agent, and is stamped five times on different pages with the agency stamp of H.N. Swanson located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. It was Swanson who sold the book to film director John Ford and producers Merian C. Cooper and C.V. Whitney. The basis of film director John FordÕs classic film starring John Wayne. Very good copy in original cloth.
