Inheriting the family estate of Halston Hall, Whittington, at just two years old, Mytton was soon expelled from both Westminster and Harrow before turning his mischief on a string of private tutors.With accounts and anecdotes of his extravagant spending, hunts, debts, and correspondence, a handful of which are between Mytton and the author of this biography, 'Nimrod' the pseudonym of Charles James Apperley (c. 17771843), a sportsman and sporting writer.
