Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. From wikipedia: "Adelaide Sophia Claxton (10 May 1841 ? 29 August 1927)[1] was a British painter, illustrator, and inventor. She was one of the first women artists to make a major part of her living through the commercial press, selling satirical and comic illustrations to more than half a dozen periodicals." This Claxton book is subtitled Several Hundreds of Num-nums and Nicy-nicies. Claxton did mostly illustrations for periodicals - she only produced two books which are quite rare. The color title page looks like it might be from a soft cover edition, but that is not clear. The book is half leather on brown cloth. The spine has five hubs and a label. Corners and extremities are quite worn but the binding is very solid. Full refund if not satisfied.…
