Hardback. No Statement Of Later Printing On Copyright Page. Book is in about Good condition. The entire length of the spine has been reinforced with black library tape, but this has been nicely done and does not look all that bad. Small owners inscription on the front endpaper. Fold out is still intact but the cut outs have been trimmed off the bottom fifth of the frieze fold out and some are still tucked into the fold out frieze in the appropriate slots. Dustjacket is in Good to Very Good condition with some edgewear. .

Pictorial boards show children stroking horse to front cover, both riding horse to spine, yellow titles. 8 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. First story is Joan Visits a Farm. 128 pages. 8.5 x 7". A chunky volume of stories and rhymes. Covers darkened and grubby. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Front edge of spine cracked. Large ink inscription to verso of frontis. A few hinges cracked so binding feels weak. Some light foxing and an odd mark to contents. One plate is MISSING and one partially detached. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Paperback. Condition: Good. Set of 24 plates, a short introductory text in English, another introductory text in German, all in the original folder. The plates are all bright and unmarked. The text is unmarked in both introductory booklets, though there is a small coffee stain on the cover of the German booklet. There is a light, large coffee stain all across the back of the folder. The edges of the folder are worn and there are small tears at a couple of the corners.
