Signed by author on the frontispiece picture dated 1941. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good +; light edge wear head, tail, and tips from shelving. No DJ. Blue grained cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board within borders. DJ; Poor; missing pieces at head and tail, large section of front panel missing. 467 pp 8vo. This educational book, my life's work, contains 467 pages and is fully illustrated with photos of our old and new Navy. A wrestler, boxer, and self promoter, the author became engaged with the US Navy as it official newsboy. His lifelong association with the Navy allowed him to meet many famous naval officers, politicians, and Presidents. A great book of self-promotion. A clean and very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket. Signed by Author(s).
