Paperback small quarto, very good condition, black & white text-photos, glossy paper, minor edgewear, owner's written name, extended written annotated notes rear flyleaf. 177 pp. The text of a diary kept by Prime Minister Robert Menzies of his experiences during a wartime trip to England in 1941, including details of his discussions with PM Winston Churchill. It was a grim time as British cities were being heavily bombed and German invasion seemed imminent. Menzies sat in the war cabinet, but had some disturbing talks with ministers including Churchill. On his way to London, he visited Australian troops in North Africa. Edited by Dr Alan Martin and Patsy Hardy. .
