Soggetto e Analisi Iconografica: La splendida fotografia ritrae a mezzo busto un giovane uomo, identificato grazie alla dicitura sul retro come "Orestino". Il soggetto posa elegantemente di profilo, mostrando uno sguardo fiero e rivolto verso destra, caratterizzato da capelli corti curati e accenno di baffi modellati. L'uomo indossa un formale abito borghese d'epoca tardo-ottocentesca composto da una giacca pesante scura dal collo ampio, camicia bianca immacolata con colletto rigido alto diplomatico ("a uovo") e un grande farfallino scuro elegantemente annodato. La tecnica di sfumatura inferiore isola dolcemente il busto dal fondo chiaro dell'atelier. Il formato totale del supporto è di cm 16 x 10. I Marchi e il Retro Calligrafico: Il fronte del cartoncino presenta in basso a sinistra l'elegante firma calligrafica impressa a stampo "A. Zoccali", affiancata a destra dalla località della storica sede: "REGGIO CAL.".Il retro si presenta impresso in litografia bruna con una bellissima ed elaborata grafica tardo-ottocentesca: mostra in alto a sinistra lo stemma crociato araldico e al centro una fronda di palma e rami fioriti che incorniciano il nastro "Stabilimento Fotografico". Al di sotto risalta la maestosa e decorata scritta calligrafica "A. Zoccali - Reggio Cal.", seguita dalla dicitura commerciale "Si conservano le negative". Sul margine superiore sinistro campeggia, scritta a inchiostro corsivo corvino dell'epoca, la preziosa firma identificativa: "Orestino". Stato di conservazione :L'immagine all'albumina si trova in condizioni generali buone: conserva una definizione eccellente nei lineamenti del viso e nei dettagli dell'abito, con una tonalità seppia morbida e sfumata dal tempo. Il solido e pesante supporto in cartone rigido è dritto ed integro; manifesta una naturale e diffusa patina del tempo con caratteristiche e lievissime fioriture/macchioline di invecchiamento (foxing) concentrate principalmente sul retro e lungo i bordi esterni del fronte, elementi che non toccano l'immagine e ne esaltano l'autenticità centenaria.…

Un secolo più tardi, il 90% degli abitanti delle Terre ceche continuò a rimanere anti-cattolico, aderendo alla Riforma protestante oppure entrando a far parte dell'Unione dei Fratelli Boemi, questi ultimi diretti successori del movimento hussita. No Binding. Condition: Fine. This illuminated Antiphonal leaf, depicting Saint Ursula within a large initial D was painted in Bologna around 1290-1300. The artist was a close follower of Jacopino da Reggio, one of the key painters of the late Duecento. Ursula is crowned and noble, with a slender figure and delicate facial features, holding the palm of martyrdom. Her portrayal closely parallels a Gradual leaf in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini (inv. 22018), confirming the attribution to this anonymous Bolognese master. The page, written in Latin, comes from the First Nocturne, first Responsory for the feast of the 11,000 Virgins of Cologne (Deonoto fuit nata placens). Large in scale (485 × 375 mm), with a historiated initial measuring 134 × 128 mm, it was designed for communal liturgical use. The bold red rastrum (32 mm, six four-line staves) frames notation in square script, typical of Bolognese choirbooks of the late 13th century. Saint Ursula was one of the most celebrated female saints of the Middle Ages. Her legend, tied to Cologne, inspired innumerable depictions in manuscripts, frescoes, and panel paintings. In this miniature she embodies both regality and sanctity, reflecting the expressive refinement of Bolognese illumination at the cusp of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The leaf has an esteemed provenance, formerly in the collection of Dr. H.F. Jossi Debrunner of Chur, Switzerland; sold at Sotheby's, London (3 December 2008, lot 10); and subsequently acquired by Dr. Edwin E.
