Gillette (pastor of the Eleventh Baptist Church in Philadelphia) and published in 1851 by the American Baptist Publication Society, this edition is a 2002 reprint (Tricentennial Edition) from Particular Baptist Press in Springfield, Missouri. It includ…es expanded/new indices (of persons, churches, subjects, Scripture, etc.) prepared by Terry Wolever, totaling around xxiv + 546 pages.The book preserves the association?s annual meeting minutes, circular letters, pastoral addresses, church reports, and related documents covering 1707?1807 (with a gap in 1777 due to the British occupation of Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War). Early years (especially pre-1769) draw from manuscript records and summaries, as printed minutes began later. It also includes brief histories of early churches practicing believer?s baptism in Pennsylvania and the Jerseys, a preface outlining the association?s origins and importance, and Samuel Jones?s centennial sermon. Bound in blue cloth with gilt title on the cover and spine.CONDITION: Light shelf wear. Paes are crisp, clean, and unmarked. Binding and text block are square and tight.
