The Oglethorpe Book of Georgia Verse, edited by Thornwell Jacobs, Mary Brent Whiteside, and James Edward Routh, is a hardcover first edition published by Oglethorpe University Press in 1930. This book is bound in green cloth with copper spine lettering. It is in Good conditio…n, with some typical wear from age. The corners and spine ends show wear, and although the binding remains square and tight, the front hinge is beginning to crack. The interior pages are clean and unmarked, with no significant signs of wear. The book contains 512 pages, with an introduction (xlviii) offering context to the poetry collected within. As a former library copy, it has minimal library markings. This book is an excellent choice for collectors of early 20th-century American poetry or Oglethorpe University history.
