Die Hausarbeit soll in ihrem Verlauf dazu beitragen, re-initiativ einen erneuten forschungsrelevanten Ansatz in diesem Gebiet zu schaffen, indem das Sprechverhalten von Spanisch-SprecherInnen nach emotionalen Extremsituationen linguistisch analysiert wird. Exemplarisch dafür sollen historische Aussagen eines ausgewählten Profi-Sportlers dienen. Dabei soll die Frage, inwiefern Emotionalität das Sprechverhalten beeinflussen kann, im Zentrum des Interesses stehen.Die Begeisterung für Sport ¿ ganz gleich ob in aktiver oder beobachtender Rolle ¿ speist sich besonders im kompetitiven Bereich aus emotionalen Bindungen. Aus dieser anhaltenden Begeisterung resultierend beschäftigen sich seit jeher auch die verschiedensten Wissenschaften mit dem Thema Sport als Teil des menschlichen Daseins. In der Linguistik ließe sich sogar eine Interdisziplinarität im Hinblick auf Sprachforschung besonders im Sport in Verbindung mit Emotion hervorragend herstellen. Dennoch wurde dies wissenschaftlich bisher nur vereinzelt thematisiert. Lieber und Born gehen noch weiter und bezeichnen den Sport einerseits als 'Stiefkind der romanistischen Forschung', andererseits stützen sie die vorangegangene Aussage mit der Äußerung 'einschlägige Beiträge existieren kaum und wenn, dann oftmals nur in mehr oder weniger abgelegenen Festschriften und Sammelbänden'. Damit stellt sich zugleich die Frage nach einer linguistischen Forschungslücke, wenn die Masse am globalen Sportkonsum in unserer Gesellschaft mit ebendiesem Fakt in Relation gesetzt wird. Wenn man die kompetitive Sportwelt betrachtet, sind die am häufigsten darin vertretenen Sprachen fast linear auf die weltweit meistgesprochenen Sprachen übertragbar, womit aus Sicht der Romanistik das Spanische eine repräsentative Rolle innehat: Betrachtet man beispielsweise den Fußball als bekannteste und prestigeträchtigste kompetitive Sportart unserer Welt, so wird zum einen die Relevanz des Spanischen als plurizentrische Sprache für den Sport deutlich, und zum anderen die Korrelation derer mit der Relevanz des Sports für die hispanophone Gesellschaft und Kultur.
