Remaining interior with minor signs of wear.; A selection of the prints in this catalogue was exhibited in the Van Gogh Museum from 7 June until 22 September 1991 as part of the exhibition Japan: Van Gogh's Utopia.; "The collection of 474 Japanese prints in the Van Gogh Museum is for the most part owned by the Vincent van Gogh Foundation and hails from the joint estate of Vincent and Theo Van Gogh. Theo's son, Ir Dr Vincent Willem van Gogh (1890-1978), later expanded the collection somewhat. It is no longer possible to find out exactly which prints were added by him to the original group. In 1986 the museum's collection was enlarged with a gift of 35 prints by the Tokyo Shimbun in Japan, whereby Hiroshige's Tokaido series of 1855, of which 20 prints were already in the museum's possession, could be completed. This catalogue is a completely revised and extended edition of the 1978 catalogue Japanese Prints collected by Vincent van Gogh. Deux carpes koï évoluent au milieu de nénuphars, telles celles de l'Empereur dans ses bassins, sont l'ouverture d'une série d'oeuvres sur le thème "Japonisme", hommage de l'artiste Sylvain Yeatman-Eiffel à sa belle-fille Yuki et ses 2 petits-fils ain…si qu'à Monet.Sylvain Yeatman Eiffel (né en 1943) est un artiste aux multiples facettes, aux violons d'Ingres essentiellement artistiques : peinture, création de tissus pour Christian Dior, conception de meubles, musique et auteur de divers ouvrages - notamment sur Gustave Eiffel dont il est l'arrière petit-fils. Il aime travailler la matière, se reconnaît une filiation artistique avec Bernard Boutet de Monvel et cultive les thèmes picturaux avec des variations telles que ses "36 Vues de La Tour Eiffel", hommage à Hokuzaï, exposé à la Mairie du 7ème, le Japonisme à la Galerie Maket Messine, ses déclinaisons Odalistiques . Ses sujets de prédilection : les ombres sur les murs, les reflets dans l'eau, le déferlement des vagues alliant le rêve et la réalité pour inciter au repos et à la méditation. Oeuvre originale. .
