The Estienne olive tree device appears on the title. An important work of Renaissance scholarship, this edition was the principal vehicle through which Pindar and the lyric poets were read in Western Europe. Copies were used by humanists, poets, and philologists for generations. Bound in contemporary limp vellum, well worn but intact, with the textblock clean and complete.
