[Blatt (ca.38x25cm) an den Rändern etwas unfrisch.] Félix Faure war von 1895 bis zu seinem Tode im Jahre 1899 der 7. Präsident Frankreichs. Faure stammte aus einfachen Verhältnissen, brachte es als Händler in Le Havre jedoch zu beachtlichem Wohlstand. Am 21. August 1881 wurde er in die Nationalversammlung gewählt. Später war er…im Außenministerium zuständig für die Kolonien und die Marine, bevor er dann 1894 für ein Jahr Marineminister wurde. Am 17. Januar 1895 wurde er, nach dem Rücktritt Jean Casimir-Périers, zum Präsidenten gewählt. In seine Amtszeit fiel die Dreyfus-Affäre; an ihn war der Brief J'accuse" (Ich klage an!) gerichtet, der von Émile Zola verfasst und in der Zeitung L'Aurore" veröffentlicht wurde. [wikipedia] Die Wochenzeitschrift "Vanity Fair" legte in den Jahren 1869 bis zu ihrer Einstellung 1914 jeder Ausgabe eine Farblithographie mit dem Porträt der sogenannten "Person der Woche" bei. Neben anderen namhaften Künstlern seien vor allem Sir Leslie Ward (London 1851 - 1922) und Carlo Pellegrini (Capua 1839 - London 1889) genannt, die unter dem Pseudonym "Spy"(Ward) und "Ape"(Pellegrini) Persönlichkeiten des öffentlichen Lebens karikierten.

She belonged to a most talented family of artists and engravers. Other family members who prod…uced fashion plates and fine art included her mother, Alexandre-Marie Colin (1798-1873) and her daughter, Isabelle Toudouze (1872-1925). In 1845 Adele-Anais married the painter and architect, Gabriel-Auguste Toudouze. She is also listed as Maddemoiselle Anais Colin, Adele-Anais Colin, & Adele-Anais Colin-Toudouze.Héloïse Colin was the daughter of painter Alexandre-Marie Colin and Marie Joseph Juhel. She married Auguste Leloir with whom she had two sons: the illustrator Maurice Leloir and the painter Alexandre-Louis Leloir.She exhibited her first drawings in the 1835 edition of the Salon. She basically painted watercolors and became known for her portraits of small dimensions. Heloise with her two sisters Adèle Anaïs Toudouze and Laure Noël were among the greatest illustrators of Parisian fashion of the mid-nineteenth.Colas, 2082; Lipperheide, 4690.

Leo von Welden war als Maler, Zeichner und Graphiker tätig. Während des 2. Wel…tkrieges verlor er sein gesamtes Oeuvre und sein Atelier. 1952 siedelte er nach Feilnbach über und wurde Mitglied der Neuen Münchner Künstlergenossenschaft, bei der er regelmäßig im Haus der Kunst ausstellte.
