Pp. (xiv), 618, index (12), adv. (1). With one folding map and one woodcut vignette. Contemporary half calf, flat spine gilt in compartments, top of spine chipped with small loss. Scarce first Swedish edition of Cook's third voyage between 1776 and 1780. Translated from English (first 1784). This is the first Scandinavian publication relating to Cook's final voyage including the discovery of the Hawaiian Islands. Published anonymously but has been attributed by Rolf Du Rietz to Samuel Ödmann of Uppsala. Du Rietz, Bibliotheca Polynesia, 1137.
