Comet

Comet is not his real name. It's just a play on his surname which happens to be "Kamath". But, as it so happens, Comet st(r)uck and so it remains.

He always called himself a writer but he had nothing to show for except maybe his blog http://bycomet.wordpress.com. Yeah, he could claim that some if his posts on the blog managed to get on the Front Page of Hacker News. He could also claim that the blog received over 20,000 total views and over 9000 views on a single post. But that doesn't make him a great writer. In fact, those figures mean nothing compared to several other great contributors who have a lot more to show for.

This book, however, might change all that for him. At least, that's what he thinks.

Comet, like any other other kid, was trying to be, and do, something different. But unfortunately for him, he found himself stuck in Corporate Prison for far too long. So one day, purely on impulse, he quit.

Since quitting his job, he's had a rather interesting journey. He started his own Rock Band "Plunge" and performed at most clubs, bars, concerts, and festivals. He picked up a whole new career for himself in Intellectual Property (IP), accidentally. He's now a Registered Patent Agent in India. He also advises Startups and Independent Inventors on IP through his website hackipr.com. Since last year, he's also picked up Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and had his first Boxing fight last year, December 2013! This year he's started his own brand of T-shirts and Hoodies called NOGAF - www.nogaf.co.

He's 31, married, and has 2 kids. Ok, maybe he lied about having kids.

He currently manages the global IP portfolio of a product based company.
