Kim LaCroix founded The Inspired Pencil in 2012.

The Inspired Pencil is committed to enhancing the early stages of writing development through authentic writing experiences. Writing is a key ingredient to reading, learning, and language development and kids can learn to enjoy writing as a means to express themselves, make sense of their experiences, and share ideas. Simply put, writing more leads to more effective and more satisfying writing. Further, writing can and should be a positive social experience through a sharing of ideas.

She studied Education at the University of Virginia and the College of William & Mary and has more than a decade of practical experience in the field of Education. She lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
