Ogni poesia è accompagnata da una splendida litografia a piena pagina con grafica a rilievo nei toni del bianco ad opera dell'artista Angelo Savelli. L'opera è stata presentata per la prima volta alla XXXII Biennale di Venezia del 1964 dove ha vinto il Gran Premio per le Arti Grafiche. Seguono poi varie importanti esposizioni, 1964 New York, The Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Painters and sculptors as printmakers; 1992, New York, The Museum of Modern Art, The Artist and the book in twentieth century ItalyL'artista sperimenta in questa opera, una particolare tecnica, un nuovo processo litografico che permette di creare queste particolari stampe bianco su bianco con un'elaborata variazione della tecnica a sbalzo. Angelo Savelli (1911-1995) dopo un lungo cammino attraverso esperienze pittoriche che vanno dal futurismo al post-cubismo, all'astratto figurativo e all'espressionismo astratto approda alla fine degli anni '50 al cosiddetto "periodo bianco", l'opera "Dieci poeti americani" è una delle espressioni di quest'ultimo periodo che lo accompagnerà sino alla fine del suo percorso artistico. L'opera, particolarmente rara, è presente nei più importanti musei di arte moderna internazionali ma in una sola copia nelle biblioteche italiane.
