About the Author: Barbara Abercrombie lives in Santa Monica, California, with her husband. She has published novels, books for children, numerous articles and personal essays, and Writing Out the Storm: Reading and Writing Your Way Through Serious Illness or Injury. She teaches in The Writers' Program at UCLA Extension, and conducts writing workshops at The Wellness Community, a nationwide cancer support group.
