Item description from seller

Time: 24:16. ½ " reel-to-reel recording. 7 ½ Inches Per Second. Tape and reel in very good condition. Housed in a black cardstock clamshell with descriptive paper label on the rear panel. Studio's paper label on the front panel. Produced by Abby Brown for New American Library. Recorded by Cue Recordings of New York. In this program entitled 'Knees are for Sitting On', American author Anne Fremantle talks about her personal experiences with famous authors. "Anne Freemantle (1901-2002) was an English writer and journalist whose parties played a part in the intellectual life of postwar New York, attracting sculptors, writers, aristocrats and intellectuals. Evelyn Waugh called her "the smartest woman in America", and W. H. Auden would attend her parties in his carpet slippers. During the war, she left her children briefly in the care of the philosopher Isaiah Berlin. She was also a lifelong friend of Bertrand Russell and Elizabeth Longford." - Times of London obituary.
