Contemporary wine-coloured morocco, 5 raised bands, gilt decoration in spine compartments, gilt-stamped double spine labels, marbled endpapers in 18th-century French curl pattern, all edges gilt, Spines darkened, with head of volume II only chipped with headband loose, very occasional offsetting in the text, otherwise a very good, very handsome set of the large paper issue as characterized by the engraved headpiece on p. 3 of vol. 1.
