Review
"Most first-time job searches are haphazard and opportunistic at best, to the graduate's significant detriment. In this book, William makes a case for purposeful planning and critical evaluation when pursuing that initial position after college. He brings a perspective worth understanding before staring down your first interviewer."
Deane Barker
Author, Speaker, and Chief Strategy Officer at Blend Interactive
"The best developers I know are those who almost always have some kind of side project. There's only so much that can be taught in school, therefore a strong history of pet projects is one of the best ways I gauge the capabilities and fit of potential new hires. I love it when I can learn something new from someone looking to join our team. I honestly don't think it's possible for me to hire a software engineer who doesn't have a side project they can share during an interview-it's just that important."
Travis Kiefer
President of Kiefer Enterprise
"As a former K-12 educator and University Dean, I understand the importance of training and graduating Computer Science majors. The employment opportunities are expanding rapidly and it is incumbent on our education system to prepare students for opportunities in this dynamic field. William's book provides the motivation and insight necessary for Computer Science candidates to prepare for a career in this exciting profession."
