About the Author

Dr. Gerd Rosenbusch ist emeritierter Professor f�r Abdominalradiologie. Er wurde 1934 in Stadtsteinach, einer kleinen Stadt in Nordbayern, Deutschland, geboren. Er erhielt seine Ausbildung in Radiologie am Krankenhaus der RWTH Aachen, Deutschland. Nach Abschluss seiner Spezialisierung arbeitete er f�r kurze Zeit in einer Privatpraxis und wechselte dann 1971 an die Radboud-Universit�t in Nijmegen, Niederlande. Er wurde 1980 zum Professor f�r Radiologie ernannt und ging 1996 in den Ruhestand. Sein Interesse an der Geschichte der Radiologie begann schon viele Jahre vor seiner Pensionierung. Neben der Ver�ffentlichung von Publikationen zur Radiologie ist Kolon zu nennen. Klinische Radiologie-Endoskopie (zusammen mit J.W.A.J. Reeders), war er Mitherausgeber mehrerer B�cher �ber die Geschichte der Radiologie, insbesondere in den Niederlanden.
Annemarie de Knecht-van Eekelen, PhD, wurde 1945 in Utrecht in den Niederlanden geboren. Sie studierte Biologie an der Universit�t ihrer Heimatstadt und promovierte 1984 in Medizingeschichte mit ihrer Dissertation "Auf dem Weg zu einer rationalen S�uglingsern�hrung. Die Wissenschaft der Ern�hrung und der Kinderheilkunde in den Niederlanden 1840-1914". Von 1991 bis 1998 unterrichtete sie Medizingeschichte an der Freien Universit�t von Amsterdam. Bis 2007 leitete sie die internationalen Beratungs- und Schulungsaktivit�ten von Cito, Institut f�r Bildungsmessung in Arnheim, Niederlande. Sie hat �ber hundert Artikel und mehrere B�cher �ber die Geschichte der Medizin geschrieben, darunter eine Geschichte der Radiologie in den Niederlanden.
