Clawson / from / Father / Jany 1. 1922." Partial remains of a small label below inscription. Flake 643. Flake 695. Hyrum Bradley Clawson (1888-1975) was the son of Rudger Clawson. Rudger Clawson was the first Mormon to be convicted for being in violation of the Edmund-Tucker Act, which outlawed polygamy. Upon being charged with polygamy, he chose to serve a prison term rather than denounce what he believed was a commandment from God. He went on to become the President for the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.
