J'aurais voulu écrire une histoire d'amour, quand j'ai commencé ce livre, la première fois que je suis arrivé ici, mais aujourd'hui c'est impossible, je crois, pour un écrivain italien, d'arriver à s'abstraire de la sensation de répulsion, de la vulgarité généralisée qui est aujourd'hui la carte de visite de mon pays.
About the Author: Roberto Ferrucci est né à Venise en 1960. Ecrivain, il publie son premier roman, terra rossa (Tanseuropa) en 1993, puis deux recueils de reportages "Giocando a pallone sull acqua" (Marsilio, 1999), "Andate e ritorni" (Amos Edizioni, 2003), et récemment une biographie romanesque du joueur de football "Andrea Pirlo, Impassibili e maledette" (Limina, 2010). En 2007 est paru son roman "Cosa cambia" (Marsilio), publié en avril 2010 aux éditions du Seuil dans la collection Fiction & cie, avec une préface d'Antonio Tabucchi. Il écrit pour l'édition vénitienne du "Corriere della Sera", pour "Il Manifesto" et "Il Fatto Quotidiano". Il donne parfois des articles à L'Humanité, traduits par Thomas Lemahieu. Il enseigne l'écriture créative à l'Université de Padoue. Il a séjourné à la Maison des Ecrivains Etrangers et des Traducteurs de Saint-Nazaire en 2008.
