Comprehensive Content Mastery
The Quantitative (Math) section provides systematic instruction across all tested topics—from advanced algebra and functions through complex geometry and sophisticated data analysis. You'll master arithmetic fundamentals, ratios and proportions, algebraic thinking, geometric principles, measurement concepts, and probability.
The Verbal section builds vocabulary strategically through word roots, prefixes, suffixes, and context clues. Master both synonym and analogy questions with proven techniques for tackling difficult vocabulary and recognizing relationship patterns. The systematic approach helps students expand their vocabulary while learning test-specific strategies.
The Reading Comprehension section develops critical reading skills for every passage type. Learn active reading techniques, time management strategies, and how to answer questions about main ideas, inferences, vocabulary in context, and author's purpose. Whether analyzing fiction, poetry, or nonfiction, you'll have the tools to comprehend and respond accurately.
The Writing Sample section demystifies what evaluators look for. Master both creative story prompts and personal essay questions with clear structure, organization techniques, and grammar essentials that strengthen your writing.
Beyond content knowledge, this guide teaches SSAT-specific strategies that maximize performance. Learn the two-pass system for working efficiently, strategic skipping techniques, process of elimination methods, and section-specific approaches. These proven strategies help students manage time effectively and stay calm under pressure.
